How publishing works
PlotClip can post the videos it makes to social accounts you own and connect yourself. This page explains exactly what that means: what you authorize, what each permission is used for, how to take it back, and what we never do.
You are always the publisher
PlotClip never posts on behalf of anyone but the signed-in account holder, and never to an account you haven't personally connected. Every video is either approved by you individually, or published on a schedule you configured for a series you approved. You can cancel a scheduled post at any time before it goes out.
Connecting goes through the platform's own login and consent screen. You see the exact permissions being requested before you approve, and you can connect several accounts — each one is a separate authorization.
A project is one channel or brand. Each project publishes only to the accounts you bind to it, so a video made for one channel cannot go out on another.
A finished video waits for your review. You can publish it immediately, schedule it, edit it first, or just download the file and post it yourself — publishing is optional.
If you set up a recurring series, you choose its schedule, its platforms and whether each video still needs individual approval. Scheduled posts are visible in your calendar before they run and can be cancelled there.
AI content is always disclosed
Every PlotClip video is AI-generated, and every publish carries the platform's AI/synthetic-content disclosure — it is not a setting you can turn off. Topics pass a moderation check before anything is generated: disallowed subjects are blocked, and dramatizations of real events always carry a mandatory on-screen disclaimer, name a source, and anonymize private individuals.
What each permission is used for
We request the narrowest scope that makes the feature work, and use it only for that purpose.

What we never do
- We never post to an account you did not connect yourself.
- We never post without your approval — you approve each video before it is scheduled or published.
- We never sell, rent, share or transfer your connected accounts or their access tokens.
- We never store data about videos PlotClip did not make for you.
- We never modify or delete anything on your account that PlotClip did not upload.
- We never use your content to train our own models.
- We never publish the same video to accounts belonging to other people.
How to revoke access
You can disconnect at any time, and you don't have to ask us:
- In PlotClip: Settings → Connected accounts → remove the account. Scheduled posts for that account stop with it.
- On the platform: revoke PlotClip's access from your account's own app/security settings (for example, Google's third-party access page). Revoking there works even if you never open PlotClip again.
- Delete everything: Settings → Privacy & data → Delete account removes your videos, projects and connections.
During the beta
While direct publishing is in beta, delivery to TikTok and Instagram is handled by our delivery partner (Zernio / getlate.dev), which delivers the video to the account you authorized. This is disclosed in our Privacy Policy under sub-processors. We are moving to the platforms' native APIs; when that happens, this page and the Privacy Policy will be updated to say so.
Instagram publishing requires an Instagram Business or Creator account — that is a platform requirement, not ours. TikTok and Instagram publishing are in beta.
Downloading instead
Publishing is never mandatory. Every finished video can be downloaded as a watermark-free MP4 on paid plans and posted by hand. If you never connect an account, PlotClip still works end to end.
