PlotClip · AI geography facts video generator

AI geography facts video generator

Type a topic — "why Africa looks smaller on maps" — and get back a narrated vertical geography explainer: a researched script, an AI voiceover, illustrated frames with motion, word-level captions and sound. The sources are listed with the video. Your first short is free, no card required.

From one topic to a finished short

1
Give it a topic

One line is enough — or leave it empty and let PlotClip suggest one. You pick a look and a length; the engine does the research.

2
It researches, then writes

PlotClip searches real sources before a word of script exists, separates settled science from open questions, and writes a scene-by-scene explainer with narration, illustrated frames and word-level captions.

3
Review, then post

Nothing goes live until you approve it. Download the MP4 and post it yourself, or connect an account and schedule it.

Three ways to shoot a place

Geography is seen from three distances: from orbit, from the ground, and from inside a street. Each answers a different question, so a climate story and a city story do not come out looking like the same video.

Every number on screen came from a source

Geography carries a risk the other topics do not: borders are contested and maps argue. PlotClip researches survey and agency sources first — USGS, NOAA, ESA Copernicus, national statistics offices — and where a border is disputed the script says so plainly rather than picking a side. Size comparisons are drawn with an equal-area projection, so "fourteen Greenlands fit inside Africa" is drawn as true as it is spoken; Mercator would have made that same picture a lie.

One short is a video. A rhythm is a channel.

Facts channels live on cadence: the audience follows because the next one arrives. Set a posting rhythm and the next shorts queue up for your review, so you are not starting from a blank page every week. That is the part a one-off generator cannot do for you.

Questions people ask

Are the facts checked?

The script is written from researched sources, and every video lists them. Numbers drawn on screen are verified against that research before they render. You still approve every video before it goes anywhere.

How do you handle disputed borders?

The script states that a border is contested and moves on. Taking a side is not something a sixty-second explainer can do responsibly, because there is no room to argue the case.

Are the size comparisons accurate?

Yes, and that took deliberate work. Both shapes are drawn with an equal-area projection from their own centre, so the drawn ratio matches the real one — measured at 13.7× for Africa against Greenland, where the true figure is 14. A country whose shape cannot be drawn honestly at this size is left out entirely rather than drawn wrong.
